What is a Domain
Name?
A domain name is a human-friendly
translation of an IP network address. Instead of remembering
195.166.128.16, you can just type in www.yourname.com . Your
domain name will be your home on the internet.

What is website
mirroring?
Most domain registration companies
offer you address forwarding. This simply links your new domain to
your website which is stored elsewhere. Our service offers website
mirroring which actually mirrors your website from somewhere else
and it will only display your domain name and not the address
where your website is actually stored.

What
is email forwarding?
We will setup your account so that
our mail server forwards any email received at your domain to an
address(es) of your choice. You can specify up to 5 email aliases
on your domain that can be forwarded to separate email addresses.

Is
there a data transfer limit?
Your website will be hosted
elsewhere. If you use our mirroring service, there is no data
transfer on our servers. In other words, no!

When
mirroring, do people actually see my true website address?
No. Your true website address is
not shown. Only your domain name is shown in the browser.

Where do I store my
website?
You leave your website where it is
if you use our mirroring service. If you are planning on
registering your domain via us and transfering it to another ISP,
make sure you can transfer your domain over and just check that
they don't charge you for a transfer. It should be free. Or you
can give us your DNS details and we will point your domain to a
server of your choice.

Can
I change the mirror address?
Yes, you can mail our support team
and they will change your mirror address instantly. We are working
on a portal where you can make changes yourself.

What
is a subdomain?
www.subdomain.yourmaindomain.com
You can add extra sub domain for a one off fee of £10 setup (UK
Sterling). We will point it to wherever you want or we can setup
mirroring for you.

How
long does it take to register?
Once we receive payment from you in
normally takes a UK domains usually 24 hours to be setup and come
online and International domains take a day or two longer.

Can
I register a domain even though I don't have a website?
30,000 domains get registered every
day!!! You can reserve your's even though you don't have a website
yet. We will simply display a page saying 'coming soon!'

Do I have to use the
website mirroring?
No. We can point your domain to a
server of your choice. Or we can simply link it to a website of
your choice.

Can
I transfer my domain to another ISP if I'm not happy?
Yes you can move your domain to
another ISP at any time "No Questions Asked", however we
are pretty confident that you will find our services of a high
standard.

Is there any catch
with mirroring?
Not really. The only catch is with
mirroring, you cannot call a webpage by http://www.yourname.com/mypage.html
because it will just redirect to your main page. The same applies
with directories. Remember we are giving you this for free and it
looks like you have your own web server!!!! Your users will not
know that your website is hosted elsewhere.

So what's the cost
then? - All prices are (UK Sterling)*
To register a UK domain (.co.uk, .ltd.uk,
.org.uk) for yourself or your company for a one year period will
cost you just £69.99. This includes VAT, naming authority fee's,
and our fee's. Remember the price your see is the price you pay.
After your first year we charge you £30 per year.
To register an International domain
(.com, .net, .org) name for yourself or your company for a one
year period will cost you just £94.99. This includes VAT, naming
authority fee's and our fee's. Remember the price you see is the
price you pay. After your first year we charge you £40 per year.
*Currently we only except
payment as a check/cheque made out in UK Sterling. All
orders are handled on a individual basis. You will receive an
email as soon as a member of the team has been assigned to handle
your account and order. |
